The Ritual of Candle Care

The Ritual of Candle Care

The Art of the Perfect Burn

A beautiful candle deserves a little care. From the very first light to the final burn, a few simple rituals will help preserve the fragrance, quality and performance of your Luxuriate candle.

The First Burn

The first burn sets the tone for every burn that follows. Allow your candle to burn for at least three hours, or until the wax has melted evenly across the entire surface. This helps prevent tunnelling and encourages a beautiful, even burn each time you light it.

Trim Before You Light

Before each burn, trim your wick to approximately 5mm. A neatly trimmed wick encourages an even, clean burn while helping to reduce smoke and soot.

Always use a wick trimmer or scissors rather than your fingers, as trimming the wick too short can affect the quality of the burn and make your candle more difficult to relight. The Luxuriate Wick Trimmer is designed to make every trim clean, precise and effortless.

Preserve the Fragrance

Each Luxuriate candle is hand poured using our refined coconut and soy wax blend with cotton wicks. Our scents combine premium fragrance oils, essential oils and botanical extracts, and are free from paraffins, parabens, phthalates and formaldehyde.

To protect the integrity of the perfume and maintain the quality of the wax, we recommend burning your candle for no more than four hours at a time. Let it cool completely before lighting again.

Burn Beautifully. Burn Safely.

A little candle care goes a long way. Always place your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts and anything flammable. Keep it within sight while burning and away from children and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended or move it while lit. Allow the wax to cool and become completely solid before handling, and discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains.

Care for your candle and it will reward you with a cleaner, more even burn and beautifully diffused fragrance, time after time.
